Get to know Mrs. Kivikoski. New to the Tilton community this year, this school counselor has already made a positive impact! Read along to find out more about her life:
Where are you from?
I grew up in Laconia, New Hampshire, and now I live in Concord.
Can you describe your family and any pets you have?
This is my favorite topic. I have two boys, they’re eight and ten, Oliver and Lincoln. And my husband’s name is Mike, and he works from home as a web developer and designer. For my pets, I have two dogs, Cheeseburger and Luna, both black lab mixes. And then we have four cats, Odin, Sal, Evie, and Ramsey. And we have five chickens, all with Spongebob names.
Where did you go to school and what did you major in?
I got my undergrad at Endicott College and I got a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Creative Arts Therapy. And then I got my graduate degree at UNH in Social Work, and then became licensed two years after that.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I think sometimes I would like to be invisible and I think sometimes I would like to fly.
What are your hobbies?
I like to run, I’m not good at it and I love it anyway. I take tap dancing classes. I like needle felting. I would say I’m slowly becoming a parent of boys who play a lot of sports, which is a hobby.
What’s your favorite food?
French fries.
What’s your favorite thing about Tilton?
I think it’s authenticity. Tilton is not afraid to be itself. I think the people who represent Tilton are people who are willing to try new things and they’re willing to be themselves in a way that allows them to grow.
